The agent, after consulting his supervisor, said I could request removal of the insurance charge by providing proof of coverage, to send proof to *************************************** I called my insurance agent, who agreed to send the proof promptly. I find no mandatory requirement for insurance.I called Easirent ************ to complain. I reviewed the details and concluded I had been scammed. Had the agent given me a chance to look at the contract again before signing charges, I would have seen that the EZPass was $10.99/day.I suspect that not giving me the contract to review before signing the charges was intentional.A copy of the contract came by email attachment later. He took the signed contract back, directed me to the car outside, said he would bring a copy when he came out with the car keys.He did not bring a contract, only two charge slips to sign. The Agent produced the contract, pointed to areas that I had to sign. I asked $10.99/day? He said no, $10.99 covered tolls for the duration of the rental, not per day. Told I had no choice, I acquiesced.2) The Agent offered EZPass for $10.99. ![]() I asked why mandatory? He stated because the rental is at an off-site location. He stated that the collision could be waived on my word, but not liability as it was mandatory. ![]() I refused as I have both through ************************* He asked for proof of coverage. In dispute:1) $239.88 for liability coverage falsely presented as condition of rental.2) $131.88 for SunPass coverage agent lied about cost.1) The agent offered two insurance options ********************* about $54 or liability only $19.99/day.
